Should men always pay or is this entitlement in disguise?

• First in-person meeting.

• You’re strangers to each other.

• You’re prospects to each other.

• You may or may not meet again.

Shouldn't the tab naturally be split equally?

Yet somehow, even today, there’s an unspoken expectation: "It would be nice if the man offers to pay."

But why?

Why should the man, a stranger, be expected to foot the bill?

Aren’t both parties equally invested in exploring the connection?

We talk about equality… until the bill arrives. :)

Let’s not trivialize chivalry if he doesn’t pay.

Do keep in mind, you’re two strangers meeting to see if there’s a second meeting.

Focus on what matters, which is the quality of the interaction and let it be about splitting the bill.
